the after is where we are now, i think. not the after with a capital A, as in conclusion or after the fact, but an after compared to the last time we were before.
anticipation built up across months of making and planning and pining to then no longer be doing so.
after.
and after that, i believe after will give way to the next before. finding solace and inspiration in these remnants to hold onto, cherish, savor, long after.
